Moto G5S Plus vs MI A1- In-depth comparison, Which one to buy?

Moto G5S Plus and Xiaomi MI A1 are the two latest dual camera smartphones which have a lot of similarities between them. Both have 5.5 inch full HD display, both are sailing on Stock Android User Interface and both will get regular Android Updates up to Android P which is yet to come.

There are two variants of both of the smartphones available in the international market but in India only 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant of both smartphones has been launched.

Price of Moto G5S Plus(4GB + 64GB) is Rs. 15,999.

Key comparison between Xiaomi MI A1 and Moto G5S Plus:

  • Moto G5S Plus doesn't have notification LED, compass sensor, hall sensor and Infrared sensor which can be found on MI A1. Moto G5S Plus has NFC support which MI A1 doesn't.
  • Moto G5S Plus has Electronics Image Stabilization support at 1080p video recording. MI A1 doesn't have any kind of video stabilization but it features Optical Zoom up to 2X which Moto G5S Plus lacks.
  • Moto G5S Plus has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and water(splash) resistance feature. MI A1 has no CGG protection and water resistance feature.
  • Fast charging available on Moto G5S Plus is 15W whereas fast charging available on MI A1 is just 10W.

  1. Both have a great fight but I think moto g5 plus is better because it has small but necessary advantages over mi A1 but moto should improve the design of their phones giving less bezels and 18:9 aspect ration screen. But still moto wins!!!
