Xiaomi launched the bezel less Mi Mix 2 in China and now they are planning to launch the MI Mix 2 in India. The MI Mix 2 has a bezel less 5.99 inch FHD+ display, 12 MP Sony rear camera and 5MP auto focus selfie camera. The first generation Mi Mix had a larger 6.44 inch display. However Xiaomi didn't launch it in India but now Xiaomi Global Vice President and Xiaomi India Head Manu Kumar Jain has confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 in India via twitter. The price and availability of the device are still unknown.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 has a beautiful design made of aluminum alloy and ceramic materials combination. There is one more special ceramic edition which is fully made of ceramic body. It is 7.7 mm thick and weighs 185g. Mi Mix 2 bears a bezel less 5.99 inch full HD Plus IPS LCD with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen to body ratio of the device is 90%. The speakers are hidden under the display and Xiaomi is using ultrasonic proximity sensor on the MI Mix 2.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Chipset. This is a 2.45 GHz 64-bit Octa Core processor built on 10 nm architecture. Due to the 10 nm architecture the MI Mix 2 will be very power efficient and the battery backup will be better.The Snapdragon 835 SOC has 8 custom Kryo cores: 4 Kryo cores run at 2.45 GHz and the rest 4 Kryo cores run at 1.9 GHz. There are 6/8 GB double channel LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128/256 GB of native storage present on this device. The storage can not be expanded as the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 doesn't have any memory expansion slot.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is sailing on MIUI 9 based on Android Nougat 7.1.1 which is upgradable up to Android Oreo 8.0 or above. Mi Mix 2 does not have 3.5 mm audio jack and FM radio.

The rear camera can record 4K videos at 39 fps. There is a 5 MP auto focus front camera for better selfies.

Xiaomi has launched the Mi Mix 2 in 4 variants.
1. 6 GB RAM + 64 GB Storage.2. 6 GB RAM + 128 GB Storage.
3. 6 GB RAM + 256 GB Storage.
4. 8 GB RAM + 128 GB Storage with ceramic body.(Special Edition).
The 6GB + 64GB variant of Mi Mix 2 has been priced at CNY 3299 or INR 32,000, the 6GB + 128GB variant of Mi Mix 2 has been priced at CNY 3599 or INR 35,000, the 6GB + 256GB variant of Mi Mix 2 has been priced at CNY 3999 or INR 39,000 and the ceramic edition of Mi Mix 2 with 8GB RAM + 128GB Storage has been priced at CNY 4699 or INR 46,000. Xiaomi launched Mi Mix 2 in black color only however the ceramic edition has been launched in black and white color combination. It is uncertain which variant of Mi Mix 2 will be launched in India. I can surely say that Xiaomi will not launch the ceramic edition of the MI Mix 2 in India.
