Samsung Galaxy C7 Pro vs OnePlus 3T: Which one is to be bought?

Samsung recently launched Galaxy C7 Pro in India and it is available on Amazon.in @ INR 27,990($434). Now lets compare this device with other flagship smartphones or flagship killer smartphones in 30K price range. You get it right my hint is towards the reputed and gorgeous OnePlus 3T. This device is still considered as the best value for money smartphone. Can Galaxy C7 Pro compete with it ? Lets check .

Design: In terms of design and build quality both is very good. Both device have metal body and 2.5D glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 Protection. C7 Pro is just 7 mm thick where as OnePlus 3T is 7.35 mm thick. OnePlus 3T weighs just 158 g where as C7 Pro weighs 172g.

Display: I must say one line that SAMSUNG is the king of display and camera. Last year's S7 Edge has much better camera and display than both iPhone 7 Plus and Google Pixel. Now here the C7 pro has 5.7" Super AMOLED  display whereas​ OnePlus 3T has 5.5" Optic AMOLED display and both have the same full HD(1080p) resolution. Despite having a lower PPI count of 386 the C7 Pro has a slightly better display as compared to OP3T which has PPI of 401. Display of C7 Pro produces sharper, crispier and punchier colors and the sunlight legibility is too good. A LED display with so much high brightness is rarely seen.

Performance: Honestly the performance of OnePlus 3T is one of best in market and it is far better than that of C7 Pro. Snapdragon 821 found in OnePlus 3 is not even comparable with  Snapdragon 626 found on C7 Pro. Though the C7 performs all daily tasks and multitasking very well and the 2.2 GHz octa core  626 Chipset is very power efficient due to its 14 nm architecture. The OnePlus has 6GB dual channel DDR4 RAM with 1866 MHz frequency but C7 Pro is powered by 4GB single channel 933 MHz RAM. the RAM size doesn't matter here but the type of the RAMs and their frequencies matter a lot. C7 Pro has 64 GB native storage which is expandable up to 256 GB via 2nd SIM slot but in OnePlus you get optional 64 GB and 128 GB storages which are not expandable.

Software (User Interface): C7 Pro is running​ on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 based TouchWiz UI. OnePlus 3T is sailing on latest Android Nougat 7.0.1 based Oxygen OS. In terms of customization Oxygen OS is best in the market but in terms of optimization both user interfaces are very good. Usually there are no lags during multitasking or switching between the apps.

Camera: C7 Pro uses 16MP rear and front camera with larger f/1.9 aperture. OnePlus 3T has 16MP rear and front camera with f/2.0 aperture. Though in paper the C7 Pro seems to be better camera smartphone but in reality it is not. OnePlus 3T has the best camera​ next to Samsung S7/Edge, iPhone 7/Plus and Google Pixel. C7 is just decent in photography nothing spectacular.

Battery backup: C7 pro packs a 3300 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery whereas OnePlus 3T has a 3400 mAh non-removable Li-Polymer battery. In terms of screen on time they are almost at par but the OnePlus 3T has 20W fast charging which is really helpful. The C7 Pro aslo has fast charging but that is not as fast as the OnePlus 3T's fast charging.

Verdict: Both are very good smartohones. They have all good features like Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type C, VoLTE but C7 lacks NFC. C7 Pro has FM radio feature. They both have all necessary sensors like gyroscope, compass, fingerprint sensors. Now it's your choice: OnePlus has better value for money. The C7 Pro is also a good choice. You can buy it if you care about after sale service and if you are a Samsung fan.
