Xiaomi launched Redmi 4 in India, price starts from INR 6,999($106).

We were probably the first who told you that Xiaomi would launch Redmi 4 in India @ INR 6,999. So as we told earlier Xiaomi finally launched Redmi 4 in India the successors to last year's Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime.

 

Redmi 4 bears a 5" HD display with metal unibody having a thickness of 8.65 mm. The display has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and it covers 72℅ NTSC color gamut which is very impressive and the display is covered by 2.5D curved glass sadly the three navigation buttons are not backlit. Maximum brightness of the IPS LCD is 450 nits which is not bad. This is a hybrid dual SIM smartphone with 4G, VoLTE support and has connectivity options like Bluetooth 4,1, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi hotspot, FM Radio, USB OTG, IR blaster and 3.5 mm audio jack. There is a secondary mic for active noise cancellation. You can either use two SIM cards or one SIM card and a microSD card together. This smartphone is powered by 64 bit 1.4 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 CPU along with Adreno 505 GPU backed by optional 2/3/4 GB 800 MHz Single Channel LPDDR3 RAM. It has a native storage of optional 16/32/64 GB which is expandable up to 128 GB via 2nd SIM slot. This phone is sailing on MIUI 8.2 based on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 which will get Nougat 7.0 update soon. For optics there is 13 MP Auto Focus camera with f/2.0 aperture accompanied by dual LED flash in rear and for selfies there is a 5 MP Fixed Focus camera with f/2.2 aperture but there is no selfie flash. Camera performance is decent in daylight but not so impressive in low light. Both cameras can record videos up to 1080P Full HD resolution @ 30 FPS which is also good. Compass, accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity and rear mounted fingerprint sensor are present there. Redmi 4 is fueled by a large 4100 mAh Li-Polymer non removable battery which is sufficient for one or two day heavy usage. The bundled charger charges @ 5V~2A.

Redmi 4 will be exclusively available on Amazon.in. It will be available in black and gold colors.
